About our Trust
Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust provides services from Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and West Middlesex University Hospital—and a number of community-based services across London, such as award-winning sexual health and HIV clinics.
The Trust has over 6,000 staff proudly serving a million people locally, regionally, nationally and internationally. We treat a patient every 40 seconds, performing 34,000 operations and carrying out 391,000 scans, x-rays and procedures each year. As the second largest maternity provider in the country we help deliver a baby almost every hour of the day. We have one of the lowest mortality rates in the country and 90% of our patients would recommend us to family and friends.
About the role
Fertility Nurse, Band 5
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a registered nurse to join our expanding team at the Assisted Conception Unit at Chelsea and Westminster Foundation Trust. The candidate will have an interest in women’s health and fertility. The Assisted Conception Unit is on an exciting journey of change and we are looking for an enthusiastic patient focused nurse to join the nursing team in the developments and opportunities which lie ahead while delivering bespoke care to a wide patient base.
This is an excellent opportunity for a talented individual with broad nursing experience and proven track record of providing excellent individualised patient care, to join the team in one of the UKs most successful and progressive NHS Foundation Trusts. Some experience in Gynaecology, Women’s Health and/or the Private Patient Sector would be advantageous but is not essential.
The successful candidate will be working within a small friendly experienced team and will have opportunity to expand their practice within this progressive and exciting specialty of fertility. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills as you will be joining a dynamic, forward thinking multi-professional team who are committed to delivering exceptional patient centred care as well as being the top performing NHS fertility unit in London clinically.
The Assisted Conception Unit at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital is a purpose built facility within a high performing acute teaching hospital which treats more than 1000 couples a year for infertility.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
Applications from job seekers who require Tier 2 sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. However, non-EEA candidates may not be appointed to a post if a suitably qualified, experienced and skilled EU/EEA candidate is available to take up the post as the employing body is unlikely, in these circumstances, to satisfy the resident labour market test. UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) requires employers to complete this test to show that no suitably qualified EEA or EU worker can fill the post. For further information please visit the UKVI website. From 6 April 2017, Tier 2 skilled worker applicants, applying for entry clearance into the UK, must present a criminal record certificate from each country they have resided continuously or cumulatively for 12 months or more in the past 10 years. Adult dependants (over 18 years old) will also be subject to this requirement. Guidance can be found here Criminal Records Checks for Overseas Applicants.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
