About our Trust
Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust provides services from Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and West Middlesex University Hospital—and a number of community-based services across London, such as award-winning sexual health and HIV clinics.
The Trust has over 6,000 staff proudly serving a million people locally, regionally, nationally and internationally. We treat a patient every 40 seconds, performing 34,000 operations and carrying out 391,000 scans, x-rays and procedures each year. As the second largest maternity provider in the country we help deliver a baby almost every hour of the day. We have one of the lowest mortality rates in the country and 90% of our patients would recommend us to family and friends.
About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and innovative team player to join Annie Zunz Ward at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.
Annie Zunz Ward is a new state of the art unit consisting of a 10 bedded ward specialising in Gynaecology, with an additional 2 beds utilised by the Emergency Pregnancy Assessment Unit.
This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual with multiple skills and an appetite for delivering a first class service to join the team in one of the UKs most successful and progressive NHS Foundation Trusts.
You will gain a vast clinical knowledge and understand a broad range of acute gynaecology conditions, and associated co-morbidities.
Most of all, you will be able to motivate and engage others to ensure that the services we provide supports the Trust’s values, as well as having a pioneering approach that is not afraid to challenge convention and traditional ways of working.
We are currently recruiting for a Band 5 Nurse. This is an opportunity for a dynamic and committed individual to join our friendly team of nurses who work within a wider team of multidisciplinary specialists and medical staff.
The successful candidate will support the team in ensuring high quality care is provided for our patients undergoing elective and non-elective surgery, and undergoing management of miscarriage and medical/surgical termination of pregnancy.
We positively encourage staff development and have a robust Practice Education team who support Clinical Practice and on-going clinical expertise
Applicants must be able to demonstrate Trust values and behaviours.
Staff applying must have worked within an acute trust within the last 18 months. Ideally, we are looking for nurses who are competent in taking charge of the ward in the absence of a Band 6 / Ward manager.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
